In this homework activity, students will utilize PheT’s Gas Properties simulation to help develop a visual conceptual model of how properties of gas such as pressure, temperature, and volume relate to what the individual gas molecules are doing and how they impact everyday life. Additionally, PheT’s Balloons & Buoyancy simulation will be used to explore how hot air balloons work. The accompanying simulations can be found here: https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulation/gas-properties and https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulation/balloons-and-buoyancy
